the perfect centerpeices!
tony and i's love of nature, uniqueness, and art really shines through with our centerpieces. we have yet to actually complete one but our ideas rock thus far. my love of vintage bottles, candlelight, and blooms plus tony's wood idea led us to our centerpiece idea. so here it is. basically we're going to have a big piece of 2 inch thick wood and upon it will stand three textured glass bottles, and i stress the textured because they are beauties...we have already begun collecting and have several lovely family and friends helping us with the search. all of the three are different heights: tall, medium, and petite. then there will be three textured jars with three candles, each a different height. i found some great pictures that have bits and pieces of what we have in mind.

church and reception hall...check!
tony and i found the perfect church and reception hall. the church is not only beautiful and in downtown, but my grandparents were married there AND my mother and her three sisters were baptized there. we are so lucky to have father alberto as our priest for the ceremony. he has quite a charming and humorous personality. we are very lucky indeed! as for the reception hall we found one big enough to hold at least 300, has a dance floor to put all other dance floors to shame, and most importantly allows tony and i to choose the caterer of our choice.

some inspiration...

this is our inspiration board for the wedding. the feel will be simple, colorful, crafted, and plain beautiful. invitations, centerpieces, programs, etc will be designed by me so i hope they come out great. i really really think i can pull it off. i love being creative and i like getting what i want...creativity/design wise ...although i'm sure tony would beg to differ.

color combination...
choosing a favorite color is like choosing a favorite child. when it comes down to it, it's impossible to narrow down. we are both very creative people and both have a thing for color and here are a few we agreed on: lovely plum, magenta, light pink, light blue, aqua, and gold. it's a lot, yes. but seriously. we haven't narrowed down specifics, but these are the colors we're leaning toward. the blues and gold will mostly be accent colors.

a little token of affection...
we found a lovely two diamond bezel ring around a lovely green emerald from designer sarah perlis. emerald symbolizes hope and faith and to add more meaning, tony's april birthstone is diamond and his taurus birthstone is emerald!!! i love me some meaning. this lovely beauty is timeless and beautiful.
this will proabably be the only ring i wear, along with my wedding ring. but when i don't have it on, something feels off. and i hate to sound corny, but i think of tony every time i see it...and how shiny is sparkles!!! :)
the question popped...
friday, october 3rd, 2008 was the day. it was the day tony would premiere our california vacation video that he and a friend had been working on for 2 months. i remember being so anxious while at work during the day. all i could think about was that the weekend was finally here and i get to finally watch the much hyped up vacation video. as soon as i got to tony's place i noticed he was nervous. he said he hyped up the video so much that he hoped it met the expectations. well, the video was amazing. tony and jonny did such a great job. but what i didn't know was that the version we were watching was a "special edition"...this edition had a surprise at the end: a proposal! now i know why he was nervous. and of course, i accepted!
